Alejandra Soto, gerente Técnico del Consorcio de Viña de Chile, y dos de sus directores Eugenio Cox (Gerente Agrícola Viña Luis Felipe Edwards) y Marcelo Lorca (gerente agrícola Viña Aresti)  junto a Andrew Walker, destacado investigador de la UC- Davis, conocido en todo el mundo por desarrollo de porta injertos en California. Nos acompañan en nuestro recorrido al vivero y a distintos bloques de plantas madres.

En el fundo de Cañadilla de San Fernando revisamos el bloque de germoplasma y bloque fundación de vivero Guillaume. De este último bloque han dado origen a todos los bloques de multiplicación del Vivero Guillaume en Chile (Los Morros, Los Lingues, Chimbarongo, La Palma y Quitralman).

 

También mostramos nuestro bloque ENTAV ubicado camino a Chépica (Las Palmas) pudimos mostrar las distintas variedades y clones.

En el campo Las Mercedes revisamos directamente en el vivero distintas plantas terminadas de vides injertadas. Hablamos de del proceso de producción y los distintos cuidados que debemos dar al vivero para obtener buenos resultados de prendimiento y buen desarrollo de raíces y brotes. Se detallan los aspectos del control de calidad y la importancia de llevar una buena trazabilidad de cada lote de plantas.
